What is MSE?

Materials science engineering is the study of the relationship of material structure, processing techniques, material properties, and performance. Materials scientists work to develop materials with improved performance for a wide range of engineering applications. Developments in materials science are the major driving force behind innovations in the fields of biotechnology, renewable energy, consumer electronics, transportation, construction, textiles, manufacturing, and many many more! Practically any technology you can think of requires a deep understanding of the material properties of each component in order to optimize its performance.
