We ask that you do not redistribute these documents elsewhere. These materials are generously provided to us by professors who do not wish their work to be publicly available.

It’s hosted on Box, which is a more secure version of Google Drive.  To access the scanned documents, you’ll need to sign in with your UMD credentials.

COVID-19 Lounge Restrictions

In order to visit the MSE student lounge, here’s what you need to do:

1) Follow all UMD COVID-19 policies (this should be a given if you’re on campus). For up to date information regarding all of UMD’s COVID-19 policies, visit https://umd.edu/4Maryland

2) Read the following restrictions on lounge access:

  • The lounge is limited to 1 person in the room at once.
    • You should spend only as much time as you need in the lounge (i.e. no loitering in the lounge); if the lounge is empty, you can go in and print your work and get your snacks, but then you need to leave.
    • Leave the door open if you’re in the lounge and close it when you leave. This makes it easy for others to know if the lounge is occupied.
  • If you use the lounge, you must record the time you went in and out.
    • There will be a QR code on the door to the lounge that links to a Google Form for you to indicate when you entered and left the lounge.
  • Clean up when you enter and exit the lounge.
    • There should be some disinfectant wipes to wipe down anything that you touched.
  • If you feel sick, you shouldn’t be in MatES student lounge.

3) Download, sign (digitally is fine), and return the COVID-19 Return to Work Form to “umdmse@gmail.com” along with your preferred phone number.

Do your best to enforce the rules; if you encounter someone / people in the lounge not following the restrictions, say something.

New Discord Server

In light of the COVID-19 related restrictions on in-person activities, we have created a MatES Discord Server. If you’ve never used Discord, you can learn more on their website. If you’re already familiar with Discord, here is the server invitation: https://discord.gg/yKZcRSz.

The server has several text channels for official communications and chatting with friends, some voice channels for group studying, and class-specific text channels.

If you have any feedback on the Discord server, feel free to leave them on the Discord server, in the MatES GroupMe, or as a comment on this post.
